Here is a tip for you when dieting and eating out.

Restaurant portions tend to be enormous, and if
it's on the plate, we tend to eat it. If it's possible,
order something and tell the waitress that you are
splitting it with your companion. My mom and I do
that. The waitress just brings an extra plate and
silverware. We then add something to the tip for
her troubles.

Or you could order from the kid’s menu, where portions
are more reasonably sized.

Remember that when you eat smaller portions, spread
out during the day in about 5 meals, you are more
likely to lose weight.
