Weight Loss Program And Your Mind Set

Weight Loss And Your Mind Set

In nearly all cases, except when there is a glandular
imbalance, weight loss needs to start in the mind.
Yes, before you ever start a weight loss program,
you need to think about why you are doing this.

Establish for yourself why you are starting and
maintaining a weight loss program. Get into the
right mindset and it will be something you do for
yourself, instead of fighting with yourself as to
why you are dieting and whether you are going to
stick with it.

It is scary to think that obesity is the second
cause of preventable deaths in the United States,
but that needs to be faced. Obese and overweight
people have a higher risk of becoming sick and
unhealthy, which can lead to definable disease
such as:

Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Heart Disease,
Sleep Apnea, some types of Cancer and Depression.

People are often motivated by moving away from pain,
or moving toward something pleasurable. We have just
talked about the painful part – illness and disease.

Now think about what will be pleasurable to you when
you have lost the excess weight and keep it off. Here
are four things to start your list:

1. Your energy level. Many people report that as they
gain weight, they lose energy. Lose the weight, eating
better for good health, and your energy will increase.

2. You look better and feel better about yourself.

3. Your fitness level. Many people who are overweight
are not getting sufficient exercise. This means that
your muscles are flaccid and not used enough. Bring up
your fitness level through exercising, stretching and
walking and your body will thank you by burning more
calories and keeping excess weight off in the future.

4. Aches and pains often clear up. You are not putting
so much stress and strain on your organs, low back,
ligaments, tendons and bones.

So take the time to write it down and bring to your mind
what you are avoiding by losing weight and what you are
gaining at the same time. Then decide on your health
building, weight loss program and get started! You can do
this!
