Why Losing Weight is Good

I thought I would give you a little encouragement
today, as to why it is good to lose weight. It is
about long term benefits.











Here is just one to think about today: Weight loss
prevents high blood pressure, heart disease and
stroke. These may not bother you so much when you
are young, but as you get into middle age, more
and more people show up with these health problems.

Did you know that heart disease and stroke are one
of the main reasons both for disability and death
in both men and women in the US?

People who are overweight are at a higher risk to
have high levels of cholesterol in their blood
stream as well as triglycerides (also known as
blood fat).

Sudden death also occurs from heart disease and
stroke, and usually this strikes with very little
warning, signs and symptoms.

It is worth the effort to lose some weight - just
by decreasing your weight five to ten percent,
this could positively decrease the chances of you
having or developing heart disease or a stroke.

In addition, how your heart functions would also
improve as well as your blood pressure, cholesterol
and triglyceride count will go down.
